The Christmas markets of Bruges and Brussels are just the ticket to get us all in the festive mood. This four-day rail break also includes three-star accommodation, guided tours and an excursion.
Day one we depart on Eurostar from London travelling to Lille then onward by coach to Bruges. Here we book into the 3-Star Novotel Brugge Centrum for a three-night stayand enjoy dinner at a traditional Flemish restaurant.
Bruges is a very historic city and on day two we will join a guided walking tour taking in the many sights Bruges has to offer. Part of the tour takes us to a chocolate making factory where a demonstration is offered so we can see how the chocolatiers of Belgium earn their awesome reputation for delicious chocolates. The Christmas market is located in the main square and offers an array of wonderful foodstuff, sweets and gifts you may wish to buy. Further places of interest to tourists includes
Day three we travel by train to the Belgian capital of Brussels where we will spend the day taking in the city sights at our own pace. Brussels boasts one of the grandest and prettiest city squares in Europe and it is here we will find the fabulous Christmas market that Brussels is famed for. The market boasts some two hundred and thirty stalls selling amazing gifts and delicacies to temp the palate including delicious chocolates. The magnificent buildings around the city are a must see for would be photographers with the Manneken Pis statue one of the most famous.
Day four we travel back to London via Eurostar. At lunch time we board the bus from Bruges to Lille where we catch Eurostar to St Pancras.
